Taylor

Taylor Swift was a rarity in the world of pop music: she was the only superstar to have transitioned from the traditional to the mainstream and then to be an international icon of pop culture. Swift left her heritage in country music as if she was a second skin and proved that she had the best pop sensibility of the time. Swift was the only musician/singer to be a part of the trending zeitgeist and take it when she went on tour. Swift's early hits, especially the neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. But her 2008 album Fearless showcased a writer who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless wound up having considerable reach not just on the U.S. where it racked the record with six platinum singles, due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well with Australia, U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift could build on her progress with Speak Now almost two year after. Over the next three years, Swift's popularity was growing -three times - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as Swift entered the world of pop music with her skills already well-established. While she reduced her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was still at the forefront of pop music.
