Sheryl Underwood is an American television personality and comedian, is best known as the anchor of The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. Sheryl spent most of her childhood caring for her sister Frankie with polio. As she grew older it was not easy to get along between her mother and father. Sheryl states that in an incident, she was stabbed by her father due to him becoming too close to her. After her graduation from college, Sheryl was a soldier in the military. But, she was interested in the field of comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. Her TV career in 1992 when she became a regular actor for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. The show was on Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. In 2011, she began appearing as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. She's been in many fictional series like Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
