Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg was raised in Wellington and first made her acting debut as Flora McGrath when she played the character in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Supporting Actress. After responding to a call for auditions, she was able to audition at age nine years old, with no acting experience before that when she was selected for the role of Flora McGrath role. Flora is the child of the Scottish pianist who was mute. The couple were relocated to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to get married. Her move from New Zealand to United States as a teen. Paquin played Jane Eyre's title character as an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the main role of Jane Eyre in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin was a part-time actress in the TV film of 1997 adaption of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the Princess of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). She also portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
