Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg but was raised in the city of Wellington. She became an actor in the role of Flora McGrath, a character in the romantic drama film called The Piano. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg was raised in Wellington and made her stage debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played her role in The Piano. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the inquisitive and talkative child of Holly Hunter's principal character in The Piano. After a public audition, when she was nine, she changed her name to Flora McGrath - the daughter of the Scottish muffled pianist during the 19th century. They made the move to New Zealand to marry an arrangement-based husband. In her teens she emigrated into the United States. Paquin played a minor role in the film's title role when she was just a young girl as part of Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as an important role in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In addition, she played queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teenage girls in of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and also played the polexia Aphrodisa character in Almost Famous (2000).
