Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 making her the second youngest winner at the age of 11 in Oscar history. Canadian actress from New Zealand who, as a kid won the Academy Award in 1993 for the top support actress. The actress played the fierce girl who played Holly Hunter's portrayer in The Piano. Paquin had the role of lead in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre in the film when she was only a child. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 TV movie adaptation of Carson McCullers's novel The Member of the Wedding and had a minor role as the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). The actress played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
