Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her starring roles in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the romantic film Precious. As a young girl she was raised in a Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mother enjoyed watching films and inculcated a love for movies in her daughter as well. Paula participated in co-curricular school activities and was particularly interested in acting. Her classmates and she played together as well as participated in school's plays. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided that acting was her preferred career. She went to in the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. She won a three-month assignment producing documentaries on behalf of PBS. When she was successful in completing the task, she began working as a production assistant for TV documentaries. Following the completion of her project then she began putting together documentary films. Although she enjoyed the work she was doing, she yearned for the role of an actress. Her first acting gig came by playing a supporting role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's been in a variety of popular films and television programs.
