Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 until January 19 January 19, 2008) was an American theatre, film, television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and was a part of films towards the end of the 1950s. She later appeared in films that were notable, such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She was later seen in several television shows, usually as a guest actor, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who worked under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
